The celebration of this extraordinary achievement in 2024 was truly unforgettable, only made possible by the overwhelming love and support from you and communities across the United States. The Bill Pickett Invitational Rodeo (BPIR) wrapped up its 2024 tour with resounding success, featuring 10 sold-out stops across the country, including Denver, CO; four in Fort Worth, TX; Memphis, TN; Oakland, CA; Los Angeles, CA; Atlanta, GA; and Washington, DC. The heartfelt appreciation we received from friends, family, supporters, vendors, sponsors, media, photographers, and local communities made this milestone year one for the books. What began as a tribute to the legacy of Black cowboys and cowgirls has blossomed into a nationwide movement that honors not only the rich history of African Americans in rodeo but also the enduring spirit of resilience, excellence, and community that connects us all. For over four decades, we have witnessed countless moments of triumph and inspiration—from young riders taking their first steps into the rodeo arena to seasoned champions who continue to inspire us all.
