side Chicago native Raynard Carlton aka "Yung Stakks" is a Hip Hop
Artist, Song writer, Lyricist & more. The former SBE (Star Boy Era)
member is the youngest of five siblings and grew up in a neighborhood
mixed with life's ups and downs. Just at birth, Stakks father was
murdered and he grew up in a single parent home, facing the realities of
the streets & its definition. Stakks mother taught him the values
of what being a true hustler was all about, and even at an early age,
Stakks was blessed with the gift of HUSTLE. In Highscool, Stakks was
active in sports, playing basketball, and trying hard to stray away from
the street life, but as Stakks puts it, it was still a struggle: "I
hooped in school & SG/SF. I did that just to stay at school longer
so I wouldn’t get caught up in the streets, but that ain’t go too well
because you still had people that came to school just to be on bullshit
so I couldn't fully focus, but I did graduate because all my teachers
rocked with me & understood where I was coming from as a young man."
Yung
Stakks is not your typical hip-hop artist from Chicago, he doesn't
follow trends, his sound reflects real situations and actual events. His
music touches subjects from cultivation, politics, the state of music,
romance, fashion, the struggles of life and even death. His music is
both laid back and full of energy, but his live show is all energy. Hard
times, gang activity, violence & life overall are some of the
topics that can be related to Stakks music. His musical influences
include: Gucci Mane, Future, Meek Mill, Jeezy, & Yo Gotti. "I just
respect their grind & how they apply they're life to the music and
make the fans feel it.

Stakks is currently recording a mass catalogue of material via Chine
Music Family. He has also performed all over Chicago & from LA, to
Atlanta, to NY & recently a staggering 6 shows via #SXSW in Austin,
Texas. Stakks has been releasing a lot of material on the underground
scene with his latest release of the anticipated single "Stakk Money",
and a new mixtape, "In My Own Lane" dropping late 2015.
Stakks
style can be described as hard, with substance, real, sharp, dark,
gritty, against the grain but fly & flashy at the same time. His
voice is hypnotic and changes tones from song to song. He is on the
verge of making his mark & earning his respect in the game. In due
time Yung Stakks' plan is to bring back certain elements that include:
party anthems. flashy raps, but also real hip-hop with topics people can
relate to. Talented Yung Stakks, writes all of his own music, and
records very often with an amazing work ethic, all with which will take
him to greater heights.
